Florida
Just made it into Florida tonight. It was already dark by the time we landed so a nighttime pictures was the best I could do. Should have much better pictures of the palm trees and beaches up tomorrow.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Jackie likes playing with her food just a little too much. JR made a wonderful Thanksgiving meal. Congratz on a job well done and thanks for inviting me to the game afterwards.
It is a small world
I got a kick out of this. I ended up on a plane with Jana’s parents all the way to Dallas. Who knew their daughter was in Dallas and just finished her masters. Congratz on the Masters!
On my way to warmer weather
It’s early… way too early. I’m heading down to Texas to spend Thanksgiving with my family and apparently that requires what must be the earliest flight Erie offers. My parents are meeting me in Dallas and my sister is throwing her first Thanksgiving dinner, so this should be a fun week all around. Oh well, I guess it’s time to wake up Brint to bum my ride to the airport. Happy Thanksgiving all and I should have pictures from dinner up shortly thereafter.
Every good thing comes to an end
Well, it’s all over. I left work this afternoon and it wasn’t until I hit the interstate that I realized there was no play practice. I can’t really explain why, but I love stage crew. It’s terribly infuriating while I’m working, but I always look back afterwards and realize how much fun it really was. We had a great crew, a great cast and a great show. Thank you for letting me do it one last time.
There was one new item this year. I actually attended the cast/crew party afterwards. In the four years I worked crew in high school I never went to a single one. It took a fair amount of prodding from the crew, but I’m glad they did as I had a great time.
It’s Show Time
Well, it’s finally here. Seneca is performing “Arsenic and Old Lace” tonight and tomorrow. The curtain goes up at 8:00 PM and I hope to see you there.

Pirate Guy trying to get $100 ‘back’
Tonight was definitely interesting. Somehow I was pulled into a night out by Diane (who then ditched us) when all I really wanted was to get some sleep after this hectic week. We met up at Marketplace for a little while and then proceeded to Molly’s to kill a little time. While there we met someone who I can only describe as the most interesting and outgoing person I’ve encountered in long time. From this point on he will be referred to as the “Pirate Guy” since we don’t actually know his name. He and his sister (don’t worry, I won’t mention your name Mrs. M) where sitting at the table next to us with their napkins on their heads as pirate hats. For those of you who don’t know this is apparently required if you are drinking Sam Adams. After a short discussion, which involved my best pirate jokes, we left only to run into these two at our next bar. So, to the Pirate Guy and his sister I would like to send a hello and best wishes. I hope we run into each other again sometime.
As a side note, the last bar we met in didn’t really pick up till about 11:30 just so you know.
Another note to self
Note to self: If you are going to parse a site to summarize data use one that is acutally UPDATED at some point.
Election Time
It’s that time of year again, but unfortunately this election day I’m not going to be home to watch the news coverage due to other circumstances. In an attempt to counteract this I have been looking for a good WAP based election results page to check while on the road. After a little frustration I have given up finding anything useful and slapped together a small page (sorry not WAP) which can be viewed from my phone. The script is running every 10 minutes, pulling the data from the Wikipedia results and formatting it in a small table. If anyone else finds this useful then more power to you. Oh yeah, and remember to vote.
