After all this time with this page up I have never really explained who I am or why this site exists.

The Who

My name is Gordon Smith and I am currently residing in Rochester New York. I am originally from Virginia, but I grew up as a military brat so we moved every few years. At this point it feels like I am perpetually in my last year at college to finish up as a Computer Engineering Technology major.

The Why

Why does this site exists? Well there are actually two reasons. First and foremost, I wanted a place to store pictures and information. While in college I was constantly hounded by other students that I did not have my class schedule on the web and therefor they could never find me. Having a website that was fairly easy to remember allowed me to post this kind of information and be fairly certain it would be easily accessible.

The second reason is a little longer of a story. The domain name inurdreams.com came out of a road trip. During our second year at RIT two of my buddies and I went on a three day road trip to Connecticut. On the way back about halfway across New York we noticed the car ahead of us had a local college window sticker and was filled to capacity with college girls. When we passed their car we held a sign to the window that said hello and gave one of our cell numbers if they wanted to call and say hello back. A few minutes later they passed us holding a sign to their window that said something along the lines of “kelly at inurdreams.com” as an email address. When we arrived home I checked the domain and realized is was not currently owned and I found that utterly unacceptable. Henceforth my website has been www.inurdreams.com. I never said I was original, but I know a good idea when I see one. :)
