I was stationed at NAS Kef AIMD from 1988-1991. 3 of the best years of my life. I miss the place and am sad to hear that it's all gone now.

I was a Radioman assigned to ASCOMM at Comfairkef. I spent a year in Iceland starting around Feb of 1977 to Mar of 1978. I loved that duty, didnt love the snow and cold though. My buddies and I got out quite a bit and traveled the Island instead of drinking our time away at the EM Club. I feel fortunate to have been deployed there, so many great and precious memories. I'm sad that its gone but we no longer worry about the Cold War enemies we had back then. God Bless.

Early thanks

I lived there as well. My dad was stationed there form 2001-2004. It feels so odd to have lived in a place now completely deserted. Amazing place. As seen in this picture.

I also spent 4 + years in NAS Keflavik. I had a great band "Joker" and had the time of my life. Met my wife there AK3 April Ronquillo and was married by the justice of the peace in Kef and my oldest son Drake was born there. I hope we will be able to visit Iceland in the future. I loved it there. Anyone that was there between 1992-1996 that would like to chat about our times there, email me at hard_hat_super@yahoo.com.

My first enlisted assignment back in 1996. I loved it so much, I stayed for 2 years. I worked at the Naval Media Center as an Air Force Broadcaster ... I will miss it.

Just a short note, I was stationed at NAS KEFLAVIK from March 1980 To March 1984. I was a Naval Aircrew man. I was one of about 30 people that flew and worked on the station C-118 (Douglas DC-6). I would like as many pictures that you might have of the Air Station. Thank You, keep in touch.

As a USAF aircraft mechanic I served with the 57th FIS
and the 1400th FMS from May '58, through May '59. My very enjoyable tour resulted in life-long friendships
with the Icelanders and servicemen with whom I spent that year. I am interested in The White Falcon achives
and especially in researching the period that I spent
at Keflavik. Can you be of any assisstance ?
Also of special interest to me are the C-54, so called
I-9,I-10, weekly flights to Preswick, Rhine- Main, and back, for which I was on the inspection maintenance crew, and for which there may be some records.
Thank you for whatever attention you can give me.
